During his 53 years of practice in the labor field, Mr. Lipsitz has represented dozens of labor unions, both local and international in a large number of different areas such as arbitration, National Labor Relations Board appearances, equal employment opportunity , commission proceedings, Public Employment Relations Board and other administrative agencies. In addition, he has appeared for clients in New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division and Court of Appeals, Federal District Courts, United States Courts of Appeals and also the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Lipsitz is counsel to the Coalition for Economic Justice from 1995 to the present and is currently its President. Mr. Lipsitz has received several honors including those of the New York Civil Liberties Union in October, 1988, the Industrial Relations Research Association in May, 1997, the American Arbitration Association in June, 1989 and various labor union awards. In 2003, the Buffalo AFL-CIO Council honored Mr. Lipsitz with its Lifetime Achievement Award.
